2025 Global October IP Month Celebrations
Building on our 20+ year legacy, the Global IP Alliance (GLIPA), United States Intellectual Property Alliance (USIPA), and Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance (GIPA) hosted a week of events in Atlanta for IP Month.
October 6: CIP CUP
A great start to the series of our events with a Charity Intellectual Property Golf Tournament (CIP CUP), which raised funds in support of Georgia Lawyers for the Arts.
October 7 IP Alliance Conference
At Georgia State University College of Law, we hosted a full day conference with key IP leaders from governments, international organizations, and corporations. Below are the highlights from the event.
Keynote Speakers

Artificial Intelligence & Intellectual Property: Blurred Lines
AI thought leaders Ryan Abbott (Mediator and Arbitrator, JAMS, Inc.), Gideon Myles (Associate General Counsel, Patents & Trademarks, OpenAI), and Shikhar Sahni (GreyB), moderated by John A. Hudson (Senior Managing Director, Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held), explored the evolving challenges and opportunities at the intersection of AI and IP.
The discussion grappled with foundational issues, current impacts, and the future potential of AI, as well as the tools and infrastructure shaping its use in IP. Special Recognition
We honored the incredible work of Alan Kasper, dear member of our Board in recognition of his lasting contributions and life legacy. His sons, Evan Kasper and Peter Kasper, joined us to receive a special award.
During the evening, we celebrated the power of IP with our members, sponsors, and founders, a special moment to deepen relationships and honor our shared journey at the Fox Theatre. The event was filled with networking, lively conversations, all capped off by a special live performance by Lana Love of The Voice!

Corporate IP Institute (CIPI)
For many years, the Georgia IP Alliance (GIPA) has hosted the Corporate IP Institute (CIPI). This year, as part of the Global October IP Month Celebration, GIPA partnered with the US IP Alliance (USIPA) and the Global IP Alliance (GLIPA) to deliver a dynamic program with CLE sessions and networking opportunities. Over two days, in-house counsel and corporate IP professionals explored emerging trends, shared strategies, and built meaningful connections.
