USIPA looks beyond its foundation to the future

It is hard to believe we are only in our second full year of existence. There is much work ahead of us. Most important is to bring the nation together around IP and to make a real IP impact in our communities.

With that in mind, here are top priorities for 2022:

  • Awareness. National IP survey complete and data to be shared shortly

  • USIPA Annual Meeting & GIPA IP Celebration, October 20th 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Georgia IP Alliance was the first State IP Alliance to launch in 2018 and has offered to be the host city for the first USIPA National Event in October 2022.

  • Education. Build on the momentum from last year with enhanced content launched on World IP Day, April 26th, 2022

  • Creators UIA Conference, hosted by Warren Tuttle.

  • Protectors IP Think Tank, set up for launch in 2022

  • Entertainment, Arts & Sports. Create an EAS IP hot topics online ‘hub’

  • Diversity & Inclusion. Plan to significantly grow the 50+ Corporate Diversity Pledges with IPO partnership

  • State IP Alliances. The USIPA is working hard to bring the value of its US IP network to States throughout the country. If you know of any States where you want to help start or participate in an IP Alliance, please reach out to Sam Zellner (sam.zellner@usipalliance.org) and Zak Tutino (zakery.tutino@usipalliance.org)

  • Global IPA Launch: With WIPO now on the USIPA board, the USIPA is working hard to form a Global IP Alliance, to take this value proposition to people all over the world and launch in Fall 2022

It is important to note that none of the recent achievements and current plans would be possible without active support from many involved. Among them are Elizabeth Dougherty who has led outreach efforts, Jake Sisley who led the technology efforts for USIPA since launch, Barry Brager who handles the USIPA brand and digital presence, Mike Wright and Mike Hobbs who are managing our finances and legal work respectively, Milan Ruzicka who runs the social media campaign, Carol Beckham our Executive Director for stepping up as needed in many different roles, Elizabeth Dougherty who has been consistently reliable for reaching out and setting up the Global IP Alliance.

To continue to support the US IP Alliance, consider becoming a sponsor, founder, donor or just contact us.
